2019 Cleveland Browns Props: Win Total Set at 9.5 & Odds Favor Them Missing Playoffs
- Cleveland finished 7-8-1 one year after going winless
- Baker Mayfield finished 11th in passing touchdowns as a rookie
- After adding Odell Beckham Jr, MyBookie still doesn’t believe they’ll make the playoffs
For the first time in a long time, conversations about the Cleveland Browns aren’t all negative.
After pulling off a major trade and landing Odell Beckham Jr, Cleveland has the football world buzzing.
While BetOnline went as far as shortening Cleveland’s Super Bowl 54 odds to +1000 and have listed them as the favorites to win the AFC North in 2019, MyBookie isn’t as high on the Browns.

Oh, how times have changed.
Two years ago, the Browns earned the first-overall pick in the draft after a winless season. Now? Their win total is set at 9.5 games and the value actually comes from betting the over.
Cleveland selected Baker Mayfield with that top overall pick and he led them to a 7-8-1 record. Those numbers don’t actually tell the whole story, however, because Mayfield didn’t start all 16 games.
He took over in Week 3 in relief of Tyrod Taylor and got his first start in Week 4 and won five of his last seven starts.
WE GOT HIM.

Mayfield also tied for 11th in the league with 27 passing touchdowns in his abbreviated rookie campaign. After adding OBJ to the mix to play alongside his former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry, expect the Browns offense to be explosive and the team to eclipse the 10 win mark.

Odds the Browns Make the Playoffs

Forget squeezing into a wild card spot, the Browns should be in contention to win the AFC North.
The Baltimore Ravens took the division last year with 10 wins, and, as stated above, Cleveland should reach that total without much difficulty.
The competition in the AFC North hasn’t improved. If anything, it has taken a step back. The Pittsburgh Steelers are clearly worse as Ben Roethlisberger is another year older, and Antonio Brown is now with the Raiders.

The Ravens quest to repeat has seen some minor moves in free agency but nothing overly aggressive. Ignoring history and looking simply at the players on the roster, the Browns should be the favorites to win the division and you’re getting +175 to make the playoffs?
That’s value you shouldn’t pass up on.

This bet in particular is all about betting on the value. If you believe, like I do, the Browns are headed to the playoffs, this means you’re getting +400 to win the first game they play.
Now, it’s impossible to know who the opponent would be, but they’d be unlikely to get better odds than +400 against any current NFL roster.
The last time the Cleveland Browns were deemed to be this likely to win the Super Bowl, Bill Belichick was their coach and the O.J. Simpson Trial was captivating the nation https://t.co/tN0lTTKWAJ

The temptation is to remember the Browns of old and think of reasons for how they’ll mess this up. The reality is, however, this is a new regime, with a new star quarterback, and a loaded roster full of options.
Bet Cleveland to go over 9.5 wins, bet them to make the playoffs, and bet them to win a playoff game, because the value is too good to pass up.
