After Winning PGA Championship, Brooks Koepka Now Listed as Favorite to Win US Open
- Brooks Koepka added to his hardware with his second straight PGA Championship title
- Two-time defending U.S. Open champ Koepka now the betting favorite to win again
- Who offers the best value to dethrone Koepka at the U.S. Open?
Ho hum, Brooks Koepka wins yet another major championship, becoming the first golfer ever to hold two major championship titles back-to-back simultaneously (PGA Championship & U.S. Opens).
Unsurprisingly, Koepka has seen his US Open odds drop dramatically as he’s now the favorite to lift the trophy for an astounding third straight time.

You Have to Bet on Koepka at the US Open
There’s just no other way around it, Koepka is an auto bet for at least the foreseeable future in the majors.
He became the first man ever to post his first four majors all within a two year span, absolutely bludgeoning Bethpage Black before fending off Dustin Johnson late.

Winning majors at a 50% clip is obviously not a sustainable model of success, but Koepka just keeps adding trophies to his mantle, and given that he’s won two Opens in a row, why stop there?

At +600, his odds entering the tournament will be extremely low, but you’d be a fool to think that he can’t keep this runaway train going, so bet against him at your peril.
In @BKoepka, I see a positive, determined young man who knows where he wants to go in his career. He wants to win big tournaments, win majors; prepares well for them; obviously has his way of doing things & it’s been successful. No reason why we won’t see more of this from Brooks

Dustin Johnson Poses Biggest Threat to Koepka
It would hardly qualify as breaking news to suggest that the man who just finished runner-up to Koepka would be his biggest challenger at the U.S. Open in a month.
DJ also finished second at this year’s Masters, alongside Koepka, so he’s been playing some fantastic major championship golf.
Dustin Johnson tried to give Brooks Koepka a run for his money on Sunday at the #PGAChamp, but he ultimately came up short.

Keep in mind, the Open is at famed Pebble Beach, a course Johnson has won twice at on tour, and he also led by three entering the final round of the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble before a dreadful final day sunk his chances. He consistently puts himself in position to win on that track, and this year should be no exception.
Dustin Johnson broke 70 all 4 rounds at Bethpage and didn’t win. That’s how good Brooks Koepka has been

The Best Early Bet to Win 2019 U.S. Open
The only piece of history to keep in mind is that nobody has made it a three-peat at the Open since Willie Anderson way back in 1905. At this point, however, Koepka is smashing major championship records, so it would be apropos for him to make more history in a month.
Don’t overthink this one.
Pick: Brooks Koepka (+600)
