There’s a seven-race card in Scotland on Tuesday evening with punting attention heading to Ayr.
The meeting is highlighted by a good Class 4 handicap at 19:00 and it is competitive action throughout the evening.

18:25 – Iolani @ 14/1
IOLANI (14/1) has predominantly campaigned over hurdles in recent times, but the evergreen 11-year-old ran well, when not getting a clear run on the level at Carlisle last month and Dianne Sayer’s charge can close in the staying handicap at 18.25.
That latest flat run came over a trip of one-mile-and-three-furlongs, and although the gelding has won at that distance in the past, it looks an inadequate test these days and the step up a couple of furlongs today should suit.
The 11-year-old was disappointing over hurdles at Cartmel last time out, but that came over a 2m6f distance and that was too far for Iolani to star.
Sayer looks to have found the ideal race for the 11-year-old, who has won off this mark in the past, and the gelding can go well for his in-form trainer.
19:35 – Churchella @ 5/2
The unexposed CHURCHELLA (5/2) hurchella goes for David O’Meara in the 19:35 and the lightly-raced three-year-old can get her head in front for the first time.
Churchella ran an excellent race when finishing second behind the progressive Gallimimus at Leicester last time out and the three-year-old appeared to relish the good-to-firm ground.
Similar conditions are likely at Ayr today and there should be more to come from the daughter of Churchill.
20:45 – Monhammer @ 12/1
MONHAMMER (12/1) has a win and two places from eight starts at Ayr and the latest run at the Scottish track yielded a good second behind the improving Global Humor last week.
Linda Perratt’s charge reappears off the same mark for that short-head defeat, and with ideal conditions in Scotland, everything looks in place for another big run at the Whitletts Road venue.
