USFL Game Locations

- Ford Field, Detroit, MI
- Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, Memphis, TN
This is an increase over the two venues that the USFL used in 2022, as the league played games in Birmingham during the regular season and in Canton for the USFL championship and semifinals.
Each of those four venues will be the designated home game locations for two teams each. The New Jersey Generals and Pittsburgh Maulers will play their “home” games in Canton. The Birmingham Stallions and New Orleans Breakers will see their home dates played in Birmingham. The Michigan Panthers and Philadelphia Stars will play their home dates in Detroit. And the Houston Gamblers and Memphis Showboats, who replace the Tampa Bay Bandits, will be hosted in Memphis.
Is There Home Field Advantage in the USFL?
The home field advantage situation in the USFL is really difficult to navigate, as fewer than four teams will have a home field advantage. Only three teams, the Panthers, Showboats, and Stallions, will be in local markets for their home games. As we saw last season, stadiums were more or less empty in games featuring teams playing outside of the hub city of Birmingham. The Stallions, meanwhile, had a consistent home field advantage throughout the season, and we could see the Panthers and Showboats enjoy the same in 2023.
