Brunno Botteon is the 2023 MILLIONS Online KO Main Event Champion

The PartyPoker MILLIONS Online KO Series concluded on May 30 with the crowning of the Main Event champion. Brazilian superstar Brunno Botteon is the player that will forever be known as the player that outlasted 1,070 opponents in the $530 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed MILLIONS Online KO Main Event.

Your worthy champion is sat at home with a cool $73,417 more than he had a few days ago. Here is how the final table went down.

MILLIONS Online KO #02 Main Event Final Table Results

7 Cassandra Charles United Kingdom $5,144 $5,705 $10,849
8 Jerry Odeen Sweden $7,683 $4,523 $12,206
9 Christian Pedersen Denmark $1,187 $3,569 $4,756

Each of the nine grinders that navigated their way through the shark-infested waters to take their seats at the final table locked in at least $3,569 for their efforts, plus the bounties they had collected along the way.

Denmark’s Christian Pedersen’s time under the spotlight was short-lived because they bowed out in ninth place and walked away with a combined prize worth $4,756, not bad for a couple of days’ work.

Eighth place and $12,206 went to Swedish sensation Jerry Odeen. You may recall Odeen won the $162 MILLIONS Online KO for $17,006 at the start of the series. What out for the talented Swede in future PartyPoker events.

Last Female Crashes Out

The final seven became six when the United Kingdom’s Cassandra Charles fell by the wayside. Charles’ super-deep run had everyone excited about the prospect of having a female MILLIONS Online Main Event champion, but it just was not meant to be. Charles collected $10,849 for her incredible performance.

Malta-based Dutch star Steven Van Zadelhoff was the next player to find themselves void of chips. Van Zadelhoff can be delighted with his sixth-place finish because he only managed to bust five opponents during his deep run. Van Zadelhoff collected $8,400, with only $625 of that sum stemming from bounty payments.

With only five players remaining, the pay jumps increased massively. Bulgarian Georgi Sandev banked $14,455 for his fifth-place finish, while Victor Onizuka of Brazil turned their $530 investment into $24,121. Third place went to Joakim Andersson, a finish worth $30,017.

Heads-up pitted Botteon against his fellow Brazilian, Henrique Coutinho. Both players secured a main prize pool prize of over $34,600, leaving the equally large final bounty payment to play for.

Eventually, Botteon came out on top and had all the chips in his possession. His reward for an epic victory? A place in the PartyPoker history books, the title of 2023 MILLIONS Online KO Main Event champion, and a bankroll-boosting $73,417 in cold, hard cash.

Although disappointed to fall at the final hurdle, Coutinho cannot be too displeased with the fact that he is now $42,616 richer than at the start of this tournament.
