FW Predictions for Chelsea vs Leeds
Premier League predictions for Saturday’s clash between Chelsea and Leeds at Stamford Bridge. Graham Potter is under increasing pressure but so far the Chelsea board have stuck by the former Brighton boss. However, failure to win at home to struggling Leeds could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for the Chelsea boss who has only won three of his last 13 matches in all competitions.
Under 2.5 Goals
Our first Chelsea vs Leeds prediction regards the total goals scored in the game. While many of the recent encounters between these two clubs have been flush with goals, including Leeds’s 3-0 win in the pair’s reverse fixture, we’re backing under 2.5 goals to be produced this weekend. Five of Chelsea’s and five of Leeds’ last six outings in league and cup have ended with fewer than three goals being scored and both teams have failed to score in four of those matches, so you can see why we’re predicting a low-scoring 90-minutes at Stamford Bridge.
Both Teams to Score – No
Our second Chelsea vs Leeds prediction delves into the both teams to score market. Only three of the last seven meetings between these two clubs have ended with both teams getting on the scoreboard and we can only see one, or possibly no, teams scoring this weekend. Only one of Chelsea’s and one of Leeds’ last six matches in league and cup have produced goals at both ends of the pitch and both teams have failed to score in four of their last six fixtures.

Chelsea vs Leeds Lineups
Chelsea
Chelsea made the short trip to Tottenham last weekend where Potter’s men picked up another poor result. The first-half ended goalless as many expected but Skipp fired Spurs in front just a minute after the restart. With 8-minutes left on the clock, Harry Kane scored to wrap up a 2-0 victory for the hosts and heap more pressure onto Potter’s shoulders. Broja, Silva, Pulisic, Kante, Azpilicueta, Kovacic and Mendy are all injury concerns for the home side this weekend.
Predicted Lineup – Kepa (GK), Silva, Koulibaly, Chilwell, James, Ziyech, Loftus-Cheek, Havertz, Fernández, Sterling & Félix
Leeds
Leeds picked up a huge 3pts against one of their relegation rivals Southampton last time out. A solitary strike in the 77th-minute from Firpo proved enough for Leeds to claim their victory. Rodrigo, Forshaw, Struijk, Sinisterra and Dallas are all doubts for the trip to the capital through injury.
Predicted Lineup – Meslier (GK), Ayling, Koch, Firpo, Wöber, Adams, Harrison, McKennie, Aaronson, Bamford & Gnonto
Starting Lineups
*Lineups are usually announced 1hr before kick-off
Player to Watch: Raheem Sterling
If ever Chelsea could use a top performance from one of their star players it’s this weekend against Leeds.
Sterling hasn’t made the kind of impact most hoped when he moved from Man City to Chelsea in the summer. However, with 4-goals in the league alone, Sterling is the second-highest scoring in the Chelsea team and he has chipped in with a couple of assists as well.
Potter and his side are struggling to create chances and score goals in general and someone like Sterling should be bagging 15+ goals in a season given his previous form for Machester City. We will have a close eye on Sterling this weekend and believe he could make all the difference if he puts in a top performance along with a few of his teammates.
