Brentford vs. Everton

Brentford have gone 8-9-1 at home over the last twelve months and 5-7-0 as the home favourite. They have gone 1-1-0 at home against Everton since promotion. Everton have made a 0-1-4 start to the season and they have been held scoreless in four of those five games.

Arsenal vs. Tottenham

Both sides have made 4-1-0 starts to the season but it has to be said that both teams have had easy opening fixtures (sorry, Man Utd!). I will back Arsenal in the handicap due to the fact that over the years the North London Derby has been dominated by the home side. Arsenal haven’t lost at home to Tottenham in the league since 2010. Since then the Gunners have gone 8-4-0 at home in the league against Spurs. Arsenal have won three on the trot against Tottenham at Emirates Stadium and they completed a rare double over Spurs last season, however I’m wary of the lift that Ange Postecoglou has given the visitors. I’m also wary of the fact that Arsenal have to play midweek prior to this clash, while Tottenham do not. A draw looks a real possibility so I will take Arsenal in the Asian Handicap rather than in the head-to-head. You have to go back to 2012 for the last time Tottenham lost by 3+ goals to Arsenal, so I’m also comfortable with the Tottenham +2.5 selection.

For those who are looking for a higher odds play, four of the previous twelve meetings between the two at Emirates Stadium resulted in a draw. Their most recent draw was by a 2-2 scoreline. Arsenal have already drawn 2-2 at home this season, while Tottenham have already drawn 2-2 away from home.

Liverpool vs. West Ham

Liverpool have gone 13-4-1 at home over the last twelve months. Spanning this season and the last, the Reds bring 11-3-0 form into this clash. Liverpool have won six in a row at home against West Ham. The Hammers have gone 1-1-10 as the away underdog over the last twelve months. West Ham have failed to score in their last two visits to Anfield.
