17.15 – Janet Denning Fifehead Farms Memorial Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m
ENTHUSED was off the mark on his penultimate start at Huntingdon and backed that up with a good third at Fakenham when last seen. He has to be included with his stable in good form. I will also add in CLEARANCE, who is a former C&D winner and has fallen to a dangerous mark.
Tips: Enthused, Clearance
17.50 – St Austell Brewery Juvenile Maiden Hurdle – 2m
WAITARA developed into a decent animal when trained in France and was last seen winning in Toulouse. She has to be respected on her hurdles debut and could be competitive, as could UNCLE MATTHEW, who should improve from his hurdles debut fourth at Hexham.
Tips: Waitara, Uncle Matthew
18.20 – Get Daily Tips On attheraces.com Handicap Chase – 2m4f
MIDNIGHT JEWEL was not for passing when tough from the front at Bangor and extended his fine strike-rate in the process. He should be hard to beat again, though KAUTO THE KING is well-treated on his best form and won over C&D off a 13Ib higher mark last year. He is feared most.
Tips: Midnight Jewel, Kauto The King
19.00 – EBCS Leisure Giddy Up Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m2f
HERONORD only found one too good in a better race than this last-time-out and a repeat of that performance could see him go one better. He deserves a first success, meanwhile SASSIFIED was third off this exact mark last-time-out and has a chance should he step forward from that here back over a longer trip.
Tips: Heronord, Sassified
19.30 – Racing Partnership TRP Handicap Hurdle – 3m2f
PRESENTING YEATS needs to shrug aside a lesser effort at Stratford but he has a good record here and is a past course-and-distance winner. He could bounce back at any time, while MOON KING is well-handicapped on the pick of his form and could feature with a rider taking off three pounds taking the ride.
Tips: Presenting Yeats, Moon King
20.05 – Strategic Solutions Chartered Financial Planners Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f
SONGO is the best of these on the Flat and whilst his four previous hurdle starts didn’t offer much, he should be competitive in a race like this with Harry Cobden in the plate. FRANKIE FAULKNER could be the biggest danger for the Williams team, who do well with new recruits.
Tips: Songo, Frankie Faulkner
