The Tigers were brave in defeat at the hands of the Raiders last week in controversial circumstances after an incorrectly allowed try gave Canberra the lead in the dying stages of play. Despite the loss, the resurgence of Tim Sheens’ squad continues and they will face fellow battlers in the Titans, with the Gold Coast club backing up from another poor loss against Souths in a high-scoring affair.

The Tigers have unsurprisingly named an unchanged squad after their courageous performance last week, although Blues hooker Api Koroisau will re-join the starting side after coming off the bench in the aftermath of Origin I. Meanwhile, the Titans will receive a huge boost to their spine with AJ Brimson’s return at fullback and Brian Kelly also coming in at centre. David Fifita will be rested with delayed concussion symptoms after coming off the bench last week with Kruise Leeming and Jaimin Jollife joining the bench.

The Titans sit only one win outside the top-eight and facing their fourth consecutive loss, coach Justin Holbrook will be relying on the injection of AJ Brimson and Jaimin Jolliffe for some much-needed experience in his line-up. This match could go either way but expect a big response from a Tigers squad dudded last to get them over the line.
