Best Marvel Snap Decks Tier List (July 2023)

Best Marvel Snap Decks Tier List (July 2023)

The Best Marvel Snap Decks

Welcome to our best decks tier list where I try to cover all of the best decks in Marvel Snap.

In this article, I’ll be covering what I believe are the best decks in the meta, and potentially some honorable mentions.

July is here, and with the new battle pass comes a new card, Phoenix Force. While people have been experimenting with the Phoenix Force card, I personally am not too big on the card. The decks currently merge Movement cards like Human Torch or Dagger with Destroy cards to make a giant movable card. While the deck has shown some potential, I’m not too big on the archetype so far. As some time passes, the deck may become better, but for now I expect it to land somewhere as a Tier 3 deck.

Let’s get into the tier list.

Table of Contents

Removed Decks

This tier list update isn’t too much different from previous installments, so no decks have been removed yet.

Disclaimers

For most tier lists, I will try to avoid being too predictive or showing personal opinions/tech options I may choose to run. However, for start of seasons or after big balance changes, the tier list will be mainly predictive. We will be sure to update regularly to keep up with meta shifts once things begin to settle.

Furthermore, the order within the tiers are somewhat ordered, but also shouldn’t be looked into too heavily. As we refine the list, we’ll try our best to order within tiers.

Lastly, there are many more deck archetypes that we would consider to be “tier 4” or “tier 5.” We are deciding to omit these decks as many of them mainly Series 3 only decks or aren’t quite powerful to be put onto this list.

Bounce – S-Tier

Bounce

Bounce Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTW9zdCBQb3B1bGFyIERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSWNlbWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCYXN0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIb29kIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaXR0eVByeWRlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaGVDb2xsZWN0b3IifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhpdE1vbmtleSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQW5nZWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCZWFzdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRmFsY29uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNeXN0ZXJpbyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmlzaG9wIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: The Hood, Kitty Pryde, Bast, Iceman
  • 2-cost: Angela, Hit-Monkey, The Collector, Falcon, Mysterio
  • 3-cost: Bishop, Beast
  • 6-cost: America Chavez

Commentary:

Bounce has been a very powerful deck ever since the release of Kitty Pryde. So much so that the deck received two nerfs in the past OTA.

Even still, Bounce is arguably the best deck in the current meta. This is especially true for Battle Mode, Conquest Mode, or tournaments that we see happening.

Replacements:

  • Korg
  • Jeff for Falcon
  • Invisible Woman

If you want you can also look to drop America Chavez for Korg, another solid early game card. America is a way to help you draw your more important cards like Kitty sooner, but Korg is an actual card you can play on turn 6 compared to America Chavez (who doesn’t synergize with Hit-Monkey on turn  6). Lastly, Invisible Woman is a tech card you can run to play Monkey early.

Sera Miracle – S-Tier

Sera-Control

Sera Control Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2l0dHlQcnlkZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTm92YSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGVyaW8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhpdE1vbmtleSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2NhcmxldFdpdGNoIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbmdlbGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNlbnRpbmVsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCaXNob3AifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IktpbGxtb25nZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYW5nQ2hpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJFbmNoYW50cmVzcyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VyYSJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Kitty Pryde, Nova
  • 2-cost: Angela, Hit-Monkey, Scarlet Witch, Sentinel, Mysterio
  • 3-cost: Bishop, Killmonger
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Enchantress
  • 5-cost: Sera

Commentary:

I’ve renamed this archetype to Sera Miracle, as the play pattern with Kitty Pryde and Hit-Monkey make this deck more about ramping up Angela and Bishop than simply countering enemy cards with tech. This deck is still extremely good across the board. You have answers to many things, and you also can hit high Power numbers with Angela and Bishop.

Replacements:

You can also look to run Bast in this deck to make it lean more into point slamming than Control, but that’s up to you.

High Evo Lockjaw – S-Tier

High-Evo-Lockjaw

High Evo Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ildhc3AifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1pc3R5S25pZ2h0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTdW5zcG90In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaG9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMb2NramF3In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKdWJpbGVlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIaWdoRXZvbHV0aW9uYXJ5In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBYm9taW5hdGlvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSmFuZUZvc3RlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRHJEb29tIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In1dfQ==
  • 0-cost: Wasp
  • 1-cost: Sunspot, Misty Knight
  • 3-cost: Lockjaw, Thor
  • 4-cost: Jubilee, High Evolutionary
  • 5-cost: Jane Foster, Abomination
  • 6-cost: Doctor Doom, America Chavez, Hulk

Commentary:

High Evo Lockjaw is able to put a ton of points of the board, and can do so while skipping turns 1-3. This is essentially the new Shuri deck. Back when Shuri was dominant, you could get away with skipping early turns as long as you had your key pieces.

This deck is somewhat the same. If you can find Lockjaw, Jane Foster, and either Wasp or Thor, you’re basically set.

This deck isn’t the best deck in the meta I’d say, but you are capable of high rolling many games.

Replacements:

Dracula and The Infinaut can be slotted in, likely in place of Misty Knight and Abomination. Wave can also be slotted in to try and counter Bounce/Sera decks.

High Evo Control – S-Tier

High-Evo-Control

High Evo Control Decklist:

  • 0-cost: Wasp
  • 1-cost: Sunspot, Nebula
  • 2-cost: Daredevil
  • 3-cost: Storm, Cyclops
  • 4-cost: High Evolutionary, The Thing
  • 5-cost: Professor X, Spider-Man
  • 6-cost: Doctor Doom, Hulk

Commentary:

This version of High Evo looks to use control tools to dominate the game rather than Lockjaw. The deck can still output high amounts of Power while also disrupting opponents.

All of the High Evo cards are very efficient, allowing you to exchange some Power for Control.

Replacements:

  • Luke Cage / Hazmat
  • Wave
  • Jeff
  • Abomination / Misty Knight
  • Rogue

Sera Surfer – A-Tier

Sera-Surfer

Sera Surfer Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTW9zdCBQb3B1bGFyIERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTm92YSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiR29vc2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRhenpsZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlN0b3JtIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJQb2xhcmlzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYXhpbXVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKdWdnZXJuYXV0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCcm9vZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2lsbG1vbmdlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2lsdmVyU3VyZmVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNckZhbnRhc3RpYyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VyYSJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Nova
  • 2-cost: Goose
  • 3-cost: Brood, Dazzler, Mister Fantastic, Silver Surfer, Storm, Juggernaut, Killmonger, Polaris, Maximus
  • 5-cost: Sera

Commentary:

Silver Surfer decks have also been on the rise, and while other decks are being nerfed, Silver Surfer is getting slightly better.

The recent change to Dazzler can make her a 3/6 as long as you are able to draw Brood. Even if you don’t find Goose or Nova, you can still fill up 2 lanes as long as you play Sera and Brood.

Replacements:

  • Cosmo
  • Shadow King
  • Vulture + Iron Fist

Zabu Stature – A-Tier

Zabu-Stature

Zabu Shark Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTW9zdCBQb3B1bGFyIERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS29yZyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJaYWJ1In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUG9sYXJpcyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hhbmdDaGkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1pbGVzTW9yYWxlcyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGFya2hhd2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVuY2hhbnRyZXNzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSb2Nrc2xpZGUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsYWNrQm9sdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3RhdHVyZSJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Nebula, Korg
  • 2-cost: Zabu, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Polaris
  • 4-cost: Darkhawk, Shang-Chi, Enchantress, Miles Morales, Rock Slide
  • 5-cost: Stature, Black Bolt

Commentary:

Stature decks were hit quite hard in a past OTA, and while the deck isn’t on top anymore, the deck can still perform well and is quite consistent.

Darkhawk in general is a solid engine to build around, and there are a lot of ways you can build around him. This Stature list is simply one of those ways.

Replacements:

If you don’t have Jeff, you should probably just run any other 2-cost card like Lizard.

Moon Girl and She-Hulk are also considerations for this deck if you want to cut the Darkhawk engine in favor of these cards.

Discard – A-Tier

Discard

Discard Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDb2xsZWVuV2luZyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9yYml1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3dhcm0ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IldvbHZlcmluZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Rvcm0ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkxhZHlTaWYifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlbGxjb3cifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyYWN1bGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vZG9rIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBcG9jYWx5cHNlIn1dfQ===
  • 1-cost: Nebula
  • 2-cost: Morbius, Wolverine, Swarm, Colleen Wing
  • 3-cost: Storm, Lady Sif
  • 4-cost: Dracula, Hell Cow
  • 5-cost: M.O.D.O.K.
  • 6-cost: Apocalypse, America Chavez

Commentary:

Discard is actually quite the strong and fairly consistent deck since Modok came out. Furthermore, the release of Nebula has made Storm a mainstay in the deck. Storm and Dracula pair very well, and with Nebula in the deck, Storm is a more consistent play.

Replacements:

If you don’t have Nebula, you can look to play Sunspot instead, and potentially drop Storm if you want for Sword Master.

  • Sword Master
  • Sunspot

Shuri Zero – A-Tier

Marvel Snap Shuri Zero

Shuri Zero Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5lYnVsYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWJvbnlNYXcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlN1bnNwb3QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ilplcm8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkxpemFyZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQXJtb3IifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNhdXJvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVHlwaG9pZE1hcnkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNodXJpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUYXNrbWFzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJSZWRTa3VsbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hlSHVsayJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: Sunspot, Nebula, Zero, Ebony Maw
  • 2-cost: Armor, Lizard
  • 3-cost: Sauron
  • 4-cost: Shuri, Typhoid Mary
  • 5-cost: Taskmaster, Red Skull
  • 6-cost: She-Hulk

Commentary:

With Red Skull going back to 14 Power, the Shuri Zero deck is starting to see more life. The addition of Nebula also adds another consistent early play, where as before, Titania would be saved for the final turn. Sauron allows Ebony Maw to be played late, which is also very powerful.

Overall, the deck is in a very solid spot.

Replacements:

I would say this deck is quite tight on replacements, and I’m unsure how a non Sauron version would perform in the current meta.

Electro Ramp – A-Tier

Electro-Ramp

Electro Ramp Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJXYXZlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJFbGVjdHJvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCbGFja1BhbnRoZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNhbmRtYW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFlcm8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik9kaW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFtZXJpY2FDaGF2ZXoifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyRG9vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTGVhZGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBcm5pbVpvbGEifV19
  • 1-cost: Nebula, Sunspot
  • 3-cost: Electro, Wave
  • 5-cost: Sandman, Black Panther, Aero
  • 6-cost: Arnim Zola, Leader, Doctor Doom, Odin, America Chavez

Commentary:

Electro Sandman decks are still good at countering Hit-Monkey decks, Sera decks, Stature decks, and can even do well against Lockjaw decks.

While the deck struggles against things like Patriot, Electro Ramp has a solid matchup into a large portion of the meta.

Replacements:

Here are some options you have for this deck. You can swap out some of the big cards, but Doom and Odin is a very strong combo. You can also lower your curve a bit so you have strong cards to play on turn 2 as well.

  • Magneto
  • The Infinaut
  • Scorpion
  • Lizard
  • Professor X
  • Daredevil
  • Ebony Maw
  • Leech

Galactus – A-Tier

Galactus

Galactus Decklist:

  • 2-cost: Wolverine
  • 3-cost: Green Goblin, Electro, Wave
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi
  • 5-cost: Hobgoblin, Doctor Octopus
  • 6-cost: Knull, Galactus, America Chavez, Death

Commentary:

With the recent change to Galactus, decks are starting to adapt quite a bit. With the change, you also have to be winning the lane in order for Galactus to proc. As such, more decks are putting the Goblins back in to win the Galactus lane.

As time passes, I’m sure the list will refine more, but this is an early look at post rework Galactus.

Replacements:

  • Spider-Man
  • Daredevil
  • Destroyer

Patriot – A-Tier

Marvel Snap Patriot Deck

Patriot Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ildhc3AifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1pc3R5S25pZ2h0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNclNpbmlzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZWJyaWkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJyb29kIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJQYXRyaW90In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTdXBlclNrcnVsbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbkxhZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbk1hbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmx1ZU1hcnZlbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiT25zbGF1Z2h0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEckRvb20ifV19
  • 1-cost: Wasp, Misty Knight
  • 2-cost: Mister Sinister
  • 3-cost: Debrii, Brood
  • 4-cost: Iron Lad, Super Skrull
  • 5-cost: Blue Marvel, Iron Man
  • 6-cost: Doctor Doom, Onslaught

Commentary:

Patriot is a nice middle of the pack deck that can be built in multiple ways. You can go with this list that looks to use Iron Lad effectively, or you can utilize a list with Ultron and Invisible Woman.

Overall, Patriot is quite consistent, but the deck just isn’t as powerful as the top meta decks.

Replacements:

There are honestly a ton of ways you can build Patriot decks. You can lean into more non effect cards to play on curve, you can play Silver Surfer and more 3-drops, you can play a shell with Bast and The Hood, etc. This is just an example list, feel free to experiment with what cards you have access to or what you think will be best into the meta.

  • Shocker, Cyclops, Abomination
  • Silver Surfer, Cyclops
  • Valkyrie
  • Bast, The Hood, Mysterio, Bishop
  • Ultron, Invisible Woman

Thanos Death – A-Tier

  • 1-cost: Nova, Yondu
  • 2-cost: Bucky Barnes, Carnage, Wolverine
  • 3-cost: Killmonger, Venom, Deathlok
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi
  • 6+-cost: Knull, Thanos, Death

Commentary:

With the other Thanos decks becoming irrelevant due to High Evolutionary, Thanos Death is the archetype that still remains. This deck plays like a simple Destroy deck, but you get the added benefit of the Stones for utility and more Destroy targets.

Replacements:

If you want, you can drop certain Destroy cards to fit in more tech cards. That’s how I like to play the deck, and it can perform very well.

  • Valkyrie
  • Polaris
  • Debrii
  • Kitty Pryde
  • Enchantress

Movement – B-Tier

Movement

Movement Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Iklyb25GaXN0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdW1hblRvcmNoIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLcmF2ZW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikdob3N0U3BpZGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDbG9hayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGFnZ2VyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJXYXZlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWdWx0dXJlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNaWxlc01vcmFsZXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFlcm8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlaW1kYWxsIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Human Torch, Iron Fist
  • 2-cost: Kraven, Ghost-Spider, Cloak, Silk
  • 3-cost: Vulture, Wave
  • 4-cost: Miles Morales
  • 5-cost: Aero
  • 6-cost: Heimdall

Commentary:

The release of Ghost-Spider is breathing some life back into the Movement archetype. Silk is also a strong card, as a 2/5 stat line is very competitive. Personally, I find Movement decks with Multiple Man somewhat inferior to other versions.

This version looks to use Wave in combination with the plethora of powerful 2-cost cards on turn 5 to lock down opponents into an Aero or Heimdall finish.

Replacements:

If you don’t like Kraven (I’m not sure if I like him or not) you can run Jeff if you have him instead. If you don’t like the Wave/Aero synergy, you can also run Multiple Man instead.

  • Multiple Man
  • Hulk-Buster
  • America Chavez
  • Jeff the Baby Land Shark

Darkhawk Dino – B-Tier

  • 1-cost: Korg, Quinjet
  • 2-cost: Zabu, Sentinel
  • 3-cost: Agent Coulson, Mystique
  • 4-cost: Darkhawk, Shang-Chi, Rock Slide, White Queen
  • 5-cost: Devil Dinosaur
  • 6-cost: Doctor Doom

Commentary:

Darkhawk and Devil Dinosaur are two of the strongest cards you can play on 4 and 5 respectively. Their ongoing abilities allow them to reach extremely high point thresholds. While they are counterable with things like Enchantress or Rogue, this deck still can simply outpower lanes.

While this deck is quite consistent, there are simple other more powerful decks in the current meta. Enchantress and Shang-Chi are still very common in the meta, making this deck susceptible to counters.

Replacements:

A lot of the cards in the deck synergize well, but you can look to replace some cards like Doctor Doom, or cut the Dino + Sentinel to fit more cards for Darkhawk synergy.

  • Cosmo
  • Black Widow
  • America Chavez
  • Enchantress

Phoenix Force – B-Tier

  • 1-cost: Iron Fist, Human Torch
  • 2-cost: Ghost-Spider, Carnage, Dagger, Multiple Man
  • 3-cost: Venom, Hulk Buster
  • 5-cost: Phoenix Force
  • 6-cost: Heimdall, America Chavez

Commentary:

First things first, let me say that this deck can somewhat perform well. However, in my experience, the deck is too flimsy. If you revive Human Torch, you are extremely susceptible to Killmonger. You can revive Dagger or Multiple Man instead, which can lead to decent Power plays as well.

Phoenix Force being able to move allows you to counter Control decks that use things like Storm, but you are very weak to tech cards like that in Sera decks.

Replacements:

Destroy – B-Tier

  • 1-cost: Deadpool, Nova, Yondu
  • 2-cost: Bucky Barnes, Carnage, Wolverine
  • 3-cost: Killmonger, Venom, Sabretooth, Deathlok
  • 6+-cost: Knull, Death

Commentary:

The Destroy archetype is starting to see more play, and the past buff to Venom has helped quite a bit. Venom essentially makes it so you can Destroy any card you play, rather than specific cards like Bucky or Sabretooth.

While the deck is performing quite well, I am hesitant to place the deck above Tier 3 for now.

  • 3-cost: Ironheart, Wolfsbane, Storm
  • 4-cost: Wong
  • 5-cost: White Tiger, Black Panther
  • 6-cost: Arnim Zola, Doctor Doom, Odin

Commentary:

This deck is a very budget deck that is somewhat competitive. There are no Series 4/5 cards in the deck, and while it’s not the strongest, it can definitely still compete.

The game plan is quite straight forward to play as well. Simply play on curve and summon some tigers.

Hela – B-Tier

Hela

Hela Decklist:

  • 2-cost: Invisible Woman
  • 3-cost: Lady Sif, Black Cat
  • 4-cost: Dracula, Jubilee, Hell Cow
  • 5-cost: Modok
  • 6+-cost: Hela, Magneto, Giganto, Death, The Infinaut

Commentary:

In the past, Hela was definitely a meme deck as so many decks were running things like Cosmo and Aero (pre nerf). However, in the current meta, those tools are much less common, so Hela has a much easier time comboing off.

The deck is definitely very high roll dependent, but in a game where you can leverage snapping, the deck can still do decently well.

Replacements:

  • Ghost Rider + Odin
  • Apocalypse
  • The Living Tribunal
  • Captain Marvel

Collector Dino – B-Tier

Collector Dino

Collector Dino Decklist:

  • 1-cost: Kitty Pryde, Nebula, Agent 13, Quinjet
  • 2-cost: Angela, The Collector, Maria Hill, Sentinel
  • 3-cost: Bishop, Agent Coulson
  • 4-cost: Moon Girl
  • 5-cost: Devil Dinosaur

Commentary:

The release of Kitty Pryde has also buffed the Dino archetype as The Collector becomes a strong threat when combined with Kitty Pryde. This lets the deck lean more into cards that generate other cards to be synergistic with both Dino and The Collector.

Darkhawk Dino has been a solid contender for a while now, and this deck is even more budget while still being a decent contender.

Replacements:

  • White Queen

Shenaut – B-Tier

Marvel Snap Shenaut

Shenaut Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTW9zdCBQb3B1bGFyIERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQW1lcmljYUNoYXZleiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQXJtb3IifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvc21vIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJY2VtYW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkluZmluYXV0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYWdpayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9vbkdpcmwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5lYnVsYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUHN5bG9ja2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoZUh1bGsifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlN1bnNwb3QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRpdGFuaWEifV19
  • 1-cost: Sunspot, Nebula, Iceman, Titania
  • 2-cost: Psylocke, Armor
  • 3-cost: Cosmo
  • 4-cost: Moon Girl
  • 5-cost: Magik
  • 6-cost: America Chavez, She-Hulk, The Infinaut

Commentary:

If you’re a big She-Hulk fan and are sad about the Wave change, fear not, as you can play Magik instead. This deck isn’t as consistent as the old Doom Wave, but it can be quite powerful still.

She-Hulk and The Infinaut combine for 30 Power on turn 7, which can often just be enough to win. The deck also is less vulnerable to tech cards as you likely lose priority on Turns 5 and 6, making your big cards less vulnerable.

Replacements:

If you don’t have Nebula, you can replace her with just about any powerful low cost card.

  • Scorpion

Toxic Sera – B-Tier

Toxic Sera

Toxic Sera Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9yYml1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3dhcm0ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvbGxlZW5XaW5nIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJXb2x2ZXJpbmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlN3b3JkTWFzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMYWR5U2lmIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIZWxsY293In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEcmFjdWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2RvayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQXBvY2FseXBzZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQW1lcmljYUNoYXZleiJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: The Hood
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Hazmat, Luke Cage, Zabu, Viper
  • 3-cost: Debrii
  • 4-cost: Enchantress, Sentry, Typhoid Mary
  • 5-cost: Valkyrie, Sera

Commentary:

Toxic Sera/Junk decks saw a rise in play after the release of High Evo, but the High Evo decks have adjusted. They play more with unspent Energy and Hulk now rather than relying on negative Power.

As such, Luke Cage isn’t an amazing counter anymore. Even still, with enough junk, you can definitely disrupt Lockjaw decks and other decks that like to flood the board.

Replacements:

I would say this deck is tuned quite finely at the moment and wouldn’t really replace anything at the moment. If you don’t have Sentry, you can look to play another strong 4-cost card instead.

Methodology

We’ve tried our best to evaluate these decks based on a few key factors:

  • Overall Win %: This looks to see simply how often a deck wins. It doesn’t matter if you only win 1 cube a game if your win % is 70%. You can simply spam games to Infinite.
  • Consistency: Consistency is quite hard to determine for Snap due to the snap mechanics. You can always retreat and make up for it if what your deck does is extremely powerful, albeit difficult to pull off. Even still, being able to enact a similar game plan repeatedly leans to an overall smoother climb.
  • Flexibility: For Marvel Snap, flexibility is somewhat equivalent to “surprise factor.” A deck is flexible if you have a multitude of options that your opponent cannot easily counter/predict. This means you aren’t always enacting 1 gameplan every game, but can adapt based on the situation.

Note: For numbers like win %, we would like to credit sources like Snap.fan and Marvelsnap.pro for their statistics and tracking.

Conclusion

This wraps up our Marvel Snap Tier List for the “Rise of the Phoenix” season.

High Evolutionary has shaken up the meta a lot, and other decks are starting to innovate as well. It’ll be exciting to see how the meta evolves, or if anyone can dethrone the new king of Snap, High Evolutionary.

Stay tuned as we update this tier list as more time passes.

Good luck on your climb and snap away!

If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our other resources for Marvel Snap. These can help you wherever you are in the Collection Track.
