Undefeated Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to extend their lead at the top to five points on Friday night. They face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, with kick-off at 20:00, and we’ve taken a look at the fixture to come up with a Bet Builder.

Yves Bissouma is available after his one-game suspension, however he is still just one yellow card away from another ban, so Ange Postecoglou may take that into consideration, with Chelsea to come after this match. 

Meanwhile, the XI that started against Fulham in the win on Monday night all came through unscathed, with Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr both recovering from muscular issue to feature. Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon remain out, while Rodrigo Bentancur could come back into contention over the next couple of weeks. 

For Palace, Michael Olise and Ebere Eze remain out, however they are getting closer to returning to full fitness. Jeffrey Schlupp is also out, as is second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson. These injuries are certainly hampering the Eagles at this moment in time.

Crystal Palace are 16/5 to take all three points on home soil, while a draw can be backed at 11/4. Meanwhile, Spurs are 4/5 favourites for the win and over 2.5 goals is priced at 8/11. BTTS is available at 4/6, while Spurs to win to nil is 21/10. 

Spurs to win 2-0

Tottenham Hotspur are certainly an elite outfit this term, and we can expect them to go to an injury-hit Crystal Palace and win this match. With the absence of Olise and Eze, Roy Hodgson’s team have found goals difficult to come by. They were beaten 4-0 by Newcastle United last time out and have only scored one goal in their last five outings in all competitions. 

With this in mind, we can expect Spurs to win and keep a clean sheet. Postecoglou saw his side win 2-0 on Monday night, but the Australian wasn’t happy with the second half performance. Away from home, this is likely to be another tough test, but one Tottenham can pass with flying colours. 

James Maddison and Heung-min Son to score

Tottenham are an excellent team, and they’ve had eight different goalscorers this season, but their attacking threats are actually quite easy to predict. James Maddison is the creator in chief, allowed to move into threatening goalscoring positions as we saw against Fulham, while Heung-min Son is now the leading man, playing in the number nine position. 

Although attacking drive is provided by the narrow full-backs, the wingers stay wide and don’t provide a huge level of goalscoring threat. Both Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have scored just two goals apiece this term, and since the Brazilian move wide his goals have run dry. 

If Spurs play well, their goals are most likely going to come from Maddison and Son. They’ve got ten between them so far and will want to find the net again, just as they did against Fulham on Monday night. 

Cheick Doucoure to be carded

Palace are unlikely to have things their own way on Friday night and as a result, their midfield is going to have to try and impose themselves on the match. To boost our odds here, we’ve picked out Cheick Doucoure to pick up a yellow card, given he is likely to be the man tasked with stopping the elusive Maddison.
