They’ve had well over a hundred years to have sorted it by now, but it’s finally happening. An all-Manchester FA Cup Final, at Wembley
City, Premier League in the bag, take on League Cup winners United. The Blues have a date with Inter next Saturday to try and win a first Champions League title, too. Hectic times, and placing the famous old city at the very epicentre right now of the sport.
All things considered then we just had to go to North London for our Football Bet of the Day.

My rationale here for my ‘best bet’ of over 3.5 goals is simple. City are in decent nick, and stand on the brink of the chance, no more or less than that, of emulating Utd and winning a famous Treble. Their incentive is huge.
But what about the Reds? How great an incentive can you possibly need when you’ve the chance to hoover up another domestic cup AND stop your bitter rivals in their history-seeking tracks? Too right!
The stakes, then, could hardly be higher. The pitch will be a carpet. The sun, hopefully, nestled in its favoured spot high in the sky. Skilful players abound on both sides, so in pursuit of our bet landing we don’t need to get too precious about who we’d rather carry the day. Lots of goalmouth action, and goals, will do very nicely, thank you.
As to a final score I’m floating in the 3-1, 3-2 realms, which would be terrific. For City, that’s 10-/1 and 18/1 respectively. For United, it’s a stonking 40/1 for either.
