At Stella Insurance, we believe in challenging the norms and rewriting the narrative for women. That’s why we’re so proud to launch our bold campaign, It Takes Boobs. This empowering movement is all about redefining expectations, shattering gender stereotypes and fostering inclusivity.

In a world that often equates strength and power with physical attributes, we’re here to shake things up. We often use phrases like “ballsy” to describe someone who displays courage and fearlessness. However, there’s an inherent double standard. When applied to women, this term doesn’t carry the same positive connotation. 

We’re proudly challenging this imbalance by introducing a new expression that highlights the fact that bravery knows no gender. It takes more than just “balls” to confront fears, embrace individuality, fight for equality, and shape a fairer world. The most audacious, awe-inspiring individuals out there? They have boobs, not just balls.

Together, we can reshape the way society views courage and create a more equal and empowered world.

Why ‘boobs’ is a metaphor and state of mind 

When you hear the word “boobs” your mind might jump to thoughts of physical appearance. But at Stella Insurance, we see it as so much more. 

For us, “boobs” symbolise a state of mind—a powerful metaphor for inner strength, resilience, and self-assurance that transcends physical attributes.

With our It Takes Boobs campaign, we’re reclaiming the word and encouraging everyone to embrace their unique qualities and celebrate their individuality. It’s time to create a more inclusive and empowering space where everyone can thrive and break free from societal expectations.

What does ‘It Takes Boobs’ stand for? 

Our ‘It Takes Boobs’ campaign is a call to arms for our community and society at large. It’s about finding the courage to speak up, whether it’s in a boardroom or in the face of adversity. 

It’s about finding the strength to balance motherhood and a career, defying the notion that women must choose one or the other. It’s about taking that crucial first step towards escaping a violent or abusive situation, refusing to be silenced or held back.

We’re also proud to partner with Her Heart, Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation focused on preventing women’s heart disease. Through raising awareness, promoting education, and supporting research, we strive to improve women’s heart health and empower them to prioritise their well-being
