Things are starting to click back into place for Napoli after they followed up their 6-1 thrashing of Sassuolo with a late 2-1 win over Juventus on Sunday night. A late push for the top five is back on the cards, but up next in Serie A is a clash with 10th-placed Torino, who can move to within three points of last season’s champions with a win on Friday (KO, 19:45).

Ahead of the game at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona – televised on TNT Sports 2 – we have made our Napoli vs Torino prediction, and detailed all the latest team news and match odds.

Napoli vs Torino Betting Tips

  • Napoli to win and both teams to score @ 7/2
  • Giacomo Raspadori to score anytime @ 12/5

Team News

Napoli have a huge game in Spain on Tuesday as they play Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. The scheduling of their match with Torino does give them an extra day compared to, say, English sides, but head coach Francesco Calzona may still be tempted into a few changes.

If the Italian does opt to switch things up, the likes of Giacomo Raspadori, Piotr Zielinski and Jesper Lindstrom could come into contention. Jens Cajuste and Cyril Ngone remain sidelined through injury.

The visitors have several players absent through injury themselves, including Perr Schuurs, Matteo Lovato, Adrien Tameze and Mergim Vojvoda.

Samuele Ricci picked up a red card in Torino’s goalless draw with Fiorentina last Saturday and will serve a one-game ban. The midfielder will join head coach Ivan Juric in the stands after the Croatian was handed a two-match suspension for a gesture made towards his opposite number Vincenzo Italiano.

Match Odds

The hosts are 5/6 to win a third-straight Serie A game for the first time this season, while a win for Torino is 7/2, or a 22.2 per cent chance. The draw is available at 2/5, both teams to score is EVS and over 2.5 goals can be found at 6/5.

Napoli to win and both teams to score @ 7/2

Napoli look to be getting back into the groove, and despite the distraction of the Champions League next week, they should have too much at home for a side that has lost two of their last three and won just one of their last six.

Il Toro have failed to score in their previous two home matches but they have found the net in each of their last three away outings, including two last time out at AS Roma.

Both teams have scored in Napoli’s last five games and the reigning champions haven’t kept a clean sheet since January 28. It could be tight, but Gli Azzurri should have enough to record a third consecutive victory.

Giacomo Raspadori to score anytime @ 12/5

The 24-year-old was the hero on Sunday as he followed up Victor Osimhen’s saved penalty to net the winner against Juventus. That was the forward’s first club goal since November 4 when he struck against Salernitana for his third in as many games.

A late strike against the Old Lady might just reignite the fire inside of Raspadori, and the upcoming game against Barcelona may offer a route into the starting XI on Friday.

Osimhen could drop to the bench for a rest but even if the Nigerian is chosen to start in attack, Calzone has played Raspadori alongside him recently, starting the pair in attack at Cagliari in a 1-1 draw on February 25. Raspadori even claimed an assist for Napoli’s leading marksman.
